Over the last 30 days, the Kern County market was busy with 56 homes sold. At the same time, Los Angeles County reported 6,398 home sales, the highest number from all the surrounding counties. The median sales price climbed to $197,040 over the latest reporting period for Kern County, up from $180,000. Kern County is still a solid buyer's market, due to the availability of nine months of remaining inventory, even after the uptick in sales.
