The Kern County market showed healthy signs this week as sales climbed 8.0% to reach 54 homes sold over the last 30 days, breaking above the average sales volume for the prior 12 months. To put it in perspective, close-by Los Angeles County registered 5,827 home sales in the same period, the most of all surrounding counties. A months of inventory number of eight reported this week continued a four-week upward trend. Kern County is still a strong buyer's market, in spite of the uptick in sales, thanks to the availability of such a large amount of remaining inventory.
